Rallye Lecale is a closed road Special Stage Rally planned to take place on 25th July 2026. The event is being organised by Ballynahinch & District Motor Club with support from the Downpatrick Regeneration Working Group and Newry Mourne and Down District Council.
The event will operate under a sporting permit issued by Motorsport UK, recognised by the FIA as the national sporting body for four-wheel motorsport for the UK. The public roads to be used for the competitive timed sections (Special Stages) will be closed under authority of a Road Closing Order to be issued by the Department for Infrastructure.
Rallye Lecale will be based in Downpatrick centre, and our aim is to maximise the benefit to the local community and businesses. The aim is to create a draw to bring visitors and local residents into the town centre to see some of the rally action and experience the excitement and buzz of national rallying.
